This approach is especially important because not every patient needs a hair transplant. In some cases, the priority is to stabilise alopecia with hair medicine; in others, to plan surgery; and in many, to combine medical treatment, follow-up and surgery to improve medium- and long-term results.

When it is not enough to “add hair”
A good hair result does not depend only on the number of follicular units implanted. Diagnosis, alopecia stability, hairline design, donor area quality, density distribution, hair type, patient age and subsequent maintenance are also decisive.
For this reason, in complex cases or second opinions, we study what has been done before, what real margin exists, whether previous medical treatment is advisable, whether new surgery is viable and which expectations can be considered reasonable.

Planning begins with a medical assessment. The aim is to identify the type of alopecia, understand its evolution, determine whether there is a medical or surgical indication and define a realistic plan.
